Cap Juluca Acquired and Major Renovation Planned
Dear Previous Cap Juluca Guest,
Like you, I have vacationed with my family at Cap Juluca - in my case
annually for nearly a decade. As someone who has enjoyed all that Cap
Juluca has to offer first hand, I think I have a deep understanding of
the soul and rhythms of the place. Vivid memories come to mind of the
casual elegance of Cap Juluca, its incredibly warm and friendly
Anguillan staff, a magical beach with unrivalled scenery, and stunning
Moorish architecture set amidst an idyllic tropical paradise. Taken
together, Cap Juluca offers its guests something that is truly precious
- an opportunity to totally and completely escape from a stress-filled
world.
Given my long connection to the property, it is a special thrill
to let you know that in the past several days I have acquired Cap
Juluca - and have become (along with my partners) the lead in only the
third set of owners in Cap Juluca's rich history.
As Cap Juluca's new owner, I can pledge to you that some things
will not change. Cap Juluca will remain small, exclusive and luxurious.
Its magnificent architecture will remain untouched, the privacy offered
our guests will stay a priority, and our every effort will go into
making Cap Juluca one of the most special and unique places in the
world to visit.
At the same time, I am sure you will agree some change at Cap
Juluca is long overdue. If one were being completely candid, the
physical plant at Cap Juluca is, shall we say, getting a little long in
the tooth. Cap Juluca and its guests would benefit enormously from the
resort's head-to-toe renovation. Landscaping could be more lush,
roadways and pedestrian paths could be better kept. Villa room
furniture, rugs, art, flooring, doors, windows, plumbing and air
conditioning could be more functional, more comfortable and more
attractive. Restaurants and other public gathering spots could be
enhanced. A new spa, fitness center and pool could be built. All this
and more is now being planned. My hope is that over the next few years,
we will be able to invest as much as $80 million dollars to make Cap
Juluca a better place.
Our goal is to make real improvement at Cap Juluca - both in the
service you receive as well as the physical state of the hotel - and to
make it obviously noticeable to you as the coming winter season
approaches. Here are three examples among many... You will see
increased color and bounty throughout Cap Juluca's landscaping. You
will receive dramatically enhanced service and amenities while relaxing
on Cap Juluca's marvelous Maundays Bay Beach. And, you will rejuvenate
in new luxurious bedding, new patio furniture and other new amenities
in all of the guest rooms.
By way of introduction, the new ownership of Cap Juluca has a
sophisticated and deep experience in designing and providing luxury
products for discerning world travelers. In my own career, I have
served as Chairman and CEO of Vail Resorts and Rockresorts. I am
currently on the Board of Directors of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. One
of my partners and co-owners at Cap Juluca has served for years as
Chairman and CEO of Silversea Cruises. Needless to say, these are some
of the finest names in luxury travel on land, in the mountains and at
sea. We intend to put our knowledge and commitment to good use - giving
you an enhanced Cap Juluca to enjoy for years to come.
As ambitious as is our desire, however, no significant
construction can begin at Cap Juluca before about a year from now,
which will give us ample time to plan well. In that spirit, as a former
Cap Juluca guest yourself, few will know Cap Juluca better than you do.
We would love to hear your ideas. If there is anything you want to see
improved - or anything you want left exactly as is, please let me know
directly. You can email me personally at capjulucaideas@aol.com. I look forward to reading and responding to each and every communication I receive.
Thank you for your past loyalty to Cap Juluca. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!
Sincerely,

Adam Aron
