Cap Juluca Attracts World Class Talent to Complement Existing Julucan Team |
|
We are extremely proud to announce three outstanding additions to the Cap Juluca family, but we would be remiss if we did not begin by recognizing the extraordinary talents and ongoing efforts of everyone that is a part of the current Cap Juluca team. It is due to the exemplary strength of our team and the warmth of their welcoming attitude that allows us to be able to attract this kind of world-class talent. We are certain that Gary Thulander, René Bajeux and Naris Morton will be the perfect complement to the existing Julucan team. |
Gary Thulander joins Cap Juluca as General Manager.
Gary comes to us from The Landings St. Lucia where he was Managing Director. Prior to the Landings, Gary was the longtime General Manager of Vermont's charming Equinox Resort and Spa. His Caribbean experience includes having been the Food & Beverage Manager at Little Dix in Virgin Gorda. He has received numerous hospitality awards, honors and recognitions, and is a member of a broad array of hospitality and culinary associations. |
Presenting René Bajeux , Cap Juluca's New Executive Chef.
There are those who have reached the top in their profession and can carry the name of "Certified Master Chef" and René Bajeux was one of the select 44 in the United States allowed to proclaim that title. While America's total number of French Master Chefs just decreased by one, Anguilla welcomes Master Chef René Bajeux with open arms as he joins the Cap Juluca team on August 16th. René brings Mobil Five Star and AAA Five Diamond restaurant experience as Executive Chef of the Windsor Court's Grill Room in New Orleans. He was also Executive Chef at the Five Star, Five Diamond Four Seasons Beverly Hills and Four Seasons Maui. Born and raised on a farm in Lorraine, France, most recently René made New Orleans his home for over ten years. Numerous accolades have been bestowed upon René such as praise for his own restaurant, René Bistrot, with Esquire Magazine's "Best New Restaurants," 2001 Chef of the Year from the American Tasting Institute; inclusion among "America's Top Tables," Gourmet Magazine 1998; and James Beard Outstanding Member, 1997-2000. |

Hansjoerg Maissen Promoted to Asset Manager Based in Miami
For just under two years Hans has been on property at Cap Juluca as General Manager. With his new responsibilities as Asset Manager, Hans will relocate to Miami and work closely with Adam Aron, Chairman & CEO. Hans' experience, which has spanned the globe, makes him the natural choice for Cap Juluca's Asset Manager. For seven years Hans was managing director of the Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat, France. He planned and executed a total refurbishment of the Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat, bringing it back to its old splendor and regaining its status as one of Europe's most affluent resorts. Hans has held various senior management positions throughout the world. He received a nomination in 1976 to the high distinction of Officer of the Franco-Britianique Association for civil services rendered to France. In 1994, Hans was awarded the Medal of Tourisme from French Government and was honored General Manager of the Year by the "Master Guide." The "American Travel Digest Publication" has three times named Hans one of the "World's Fifty Best Hoteliers."
