Whether on the powder white crescent of Maundays Bay beach, beneath the white Moorish arches of a villa, or under a gazebo perched on a sand dune looking out to the setting sun, the sea and the mountains of St. Martin, a wedding at Cap Juluca makes a very special event even more special and memorable. The Sapphire plan includes two engraved silver chalices, the marriage license and stamp duty, transportation to and from the Court Registrar’s Office and a Marriage Officer to officiate at the ceremony, at a cost of $915. The Aquamarine wedding provides all of the above, plus the bridal bouquet, groom’s boutonniere, a wedding cake for two and a bottle of Champagne, for $1,100. At $1,590, the Amethyst includes these features and 36 photographs with negatives. Couples choosing the Emerald nuptials at $2,145 receive all the features of the Amethyst plan, plus a guitarist, floral decorations and a 30-minute edited and captioned video of the ceremony. The Diamond offers all of the above plus a private sunset cruise after the ceremony aboard the resort’s motor launch, with hors d’oeuvres and Champagne served by the crew, for $2,460. The ultimate Solitaire wedding provides all of the Diamond features plus a pre-nuptial double massage on the couple’s private terrace. A beautician assists the bride with her hair and pampers her with a manicure and pedicure. After the sunset cruise, a romantic waterside table at Pimms, one of the hotel’s three restaurants, is the setting for a five-course degustation dinner and a bottle of vintage Champagne. The rate for this wedding is $2,700. Couples planning to get married on Anguilla need to be on the island at least two working days prior to the wedding date, must present valid passports and certified proof of divorce if this is not the first marriage. Depending on time of year, daily rates for two from now through December 18, 2002 range from $420 for a 700 sq. ft. Superior room to $2,115 for a 2500 sq. ft. one-bedroom Private Pool Suite.
