CUTTING EDGE MIND, BODY, SPIRIT
PROGRAM FEATURED AT CAP JULUCA
Coming Home, Tree of Life, Soul Awakening, Life in Movement, Among Offerings
Maundays Bay, Anguilla (July 8, 2003) - Award-winning
Cap Juluca on the Caribbean island of Anguilla, which has always been
on the cutting edge of luxury, is now leading the way with its one-week
expanded wellness program. The Mind, Body and Spirit program, highlighted
by Diana Bourel's "Coming Home" transpersonal work, was initiated in 2002.
It has now grown to include three other practitioners and a unique menu
of signature treatments that include spiritual astrology, shamanic work,
psychospiritual work, yoga, intuitive healing and energetics.
Program dates are Nov. 15-22 and Dec. 6-13, 2003; Jan. 24-31, Feb. 5-12,
March 6-13, April 17-24, July 17-24, Aug. 14-21, Nov. 13-20 and Dec. 4-11,
2004. Private and group yoga will be offered at the hotel year-round.
Tree of Life, a spine-specific treatment, involves the application of
essential oils directly on the vertebral column to help soothe and decongest
muscles, reduce physical and mental tension, improve organic functioning
and remove toxins. Soul Awakening is an ancient mystical healing art which
traces its roots to the Essenians. It uses various techniques including
the stimulation of meridian points, manually, with crystals and sound,
as well as the application of crushed gemstone poultices and essential
oils to free conscious and unconscious emotional blockages.
Life in Movement is a one-hour group class designed to stimulate vital
energy, rebalance brain hemispheres, invigorate the spirit and promote
the body's own healing functions. A cross between tai chi and martial
arts, this series of shamanic movements calms the mind and fosters inner
peace and centeredness. All sessions are led by Thierry Liot, who has
a private consulting practice for shamanic healing work and runs workshops
in the US and France. For January only, Leisha Douglas, Ph D., the newest
member of the team, will participate. Dr. Douglas incorporates clinical
psychology, somatic psychotherapy, channeling, yoga and meditation into
one-hour consultations which lead clients to get the support needed to
thrive physically, emotionally and spiritually.
The original team, headed by Bourel, the program's coordinator, and veteran
astrologer Hubert Delamotte, will continue to anchor the program. A trained
past-life therapist and intuitive healer, kinesiologist, and certified
yoga instructor, Bourel has been actively involved in the field of transpersonal
psychology and holistic therapies for the past fifteen years.
Each of the signature treatments encompassed by the Mind, Body and Spirit
program are offered à la carte, with rates ranging from $30-$190 per person,
depending on the session. Bourel and Delamotte also offer specially priced
couples sessions, notably Delamotte's astrological compatibility chart
readings, popular with honeymooners. Except for January through April,
the program is also offered as a complete plan, beginning at $2,765 per
person or $3,999 per couple. It is comprised of an individual treatment
with Bourel, Delamotte and Liot, an aromatherapy massage, and four group
classes, either yoga or Life in Movement Energetics.
From now through December 19, 2004, daily rates at Cap Juluca range from
$325 to $980 per room, depending on time of year and type of accommodation.
Included is daily Continental breakfast served on the guests' terrace;
all water sports, including water skiing; two weekly tennis clinics; day
and night tennis; golf at the aqua driving range, putting green and bunker
(golf balls are an added charge); use of the health club; mini-bar set
