CAP JULUCA PLACES #1 IN THE AMERICAS
ON CONDÉ NAST TRAVELER’S ‘GOLD LIST’
Tops All Other Regional Hotels in Three Other Categories
Maundays Bay, Anguilla (December 19, 2003) – Once again, Cap Juluca
comes out on top in a major magazine listing. Condé Nast Traveler’s
2004 ‘Gold List’ not only places the luxury Anguilla hotel
number one in The Americas, but it leads all other properties in the region
in three of the six categories: Rooms, Service and Design, with ratings
of 100, 98.4 and 96.9, respectively. Its location was rated 98.4.
The Americas region covers the Caribbean and The Bahamas, Canada, Mexico
and Central and South America. Results were published in the January 2004
issue.
This is the tenth annual Gold List, which is culled from the magazine’s
Readers’ Choice Poll of the “world’s best places to
stay.” More than 32,000 subscribers voted and, for the List, interviews
were conducted with readers. Cap Juluca has appeared on this prestigious
list each of the ten years.
Condé Nast Traveler’s 2003 “Readers’ Choice Awards,”
published in the November 2003 issue, announced that Cap Juluca was voted
the best resort in the Caribbean and the nineteenth best hotel overall
in the world. Other major accolades received by the hotel this year include
the #1 hotel in the Caribbean, Bermuda and The Bahamas in a poll of Travel
+ Leisure magazine readers for their “World’s Best Awards”
published in the August 2003 issue; a Grand Award winner and Caribbean
Hideaway of the Year, by “Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report”;
and #1 small hotel as judged by readers of Caribbean Travel & Life,
published in the March 2003 issue.
