(December 10, 1999) - As you may be aware Cap Juluca sustained damage from the ravages of Hurricane Lenny, which swept through Anguilla on Thursday and Friday, November 18th and 19th.

The western end of Maundays Bay experienced considerable disruption; greater in extent to the setback incurred last year, again just before our busiest season and special millennium period. It will be necessary for Cap Juluca to restore the beach and dune to their previous pristine condition. During this timeframe we will also be conducting a fully comprehensive refurbishment of Cap Juluca to the standards our name represents. Just as importantly, we will take this opportunity to continue our staff training in order to maintain our highest level of guest service upon our reopening.

Based upon our initial assessment of the scope of work ahead, we do not expect to reopen Cap Juluca until the late summer of 2000. This opening date will be brought forward should we determine that we can complete the project sooner.

Understanding the inconvenience caused by the timing of this effort, we would like to offer your clients a 15% reduction in the rack room rate on their next stay with us. To take advantage of this reduction, please call Helen in our reservations office at 1-888-858-5822 or Patti, Verna or Jill at the hotel on 1-264-497-6779 to reschedule their visit. This courtesy is being offered exclusively to deposited guests holding an advanced booking at the time of the hurricane, and will not be extended to any other bookings, or once a deposit has been refunded. We appreciate your clients continuing loyalty to Cap Juluca and anticipate our newly refurbished resort will be unsurpassed in the new millennium.
