Shared Sea Shuttles are regularly scheduled boats to and from St. Maarten and Anguilla, that are not operated by nor controlled by Cap Juluca, but upon which Cap Juluca can reserve a seat for you.
Our Cap Juluca Greeter will await your arrival as you exit customs at the St. Maarten airport. You will be driven to the aqua dock, only three minutes from the airport, where the Shared Sea Shuttle will depart at its scheduled time. The Greeter will ask for your passport so the ship's manifest can be filled out, and then it will immediately be returned to you. The Shuttle will then carry you to Simpson Bay Immigration, where you will then give your passport to a crew member and remain on the boat while the crew member completes the immigration process for clearance to leave the island (approximately 15 - 45 minutes, depending on how busy.) It is then a 25 minute scenic trip to Anguilla.
The Shared Sea Shuttle will meet main flights from the US and Europe that arrive in the afternoon. There is also a Shared Sea Shuttle available to take you to St. Maarten to catch your plane when you are ready to depart Anguilla.
Scheduled Departures (please contact Cap Juluca Guest Services to confirm schedule prior to booking your flight.)
From St. Maarten to Anguilla: 1:00pm, 2:30pm, and 4:15pm. Saturdays only, 5:00pm.
From Anguilla to St. Maarten: 9:30am, 11:00am, 12:00pm and 1:30pm
Please note that there may be a waiting time for the Shared Sea Shuttle based on the time of your flight arrival, clearing airport customs and the next scheduled Shared Sea Shuttle available before departure for Anguilla. If these scheduled times are not convenient, you can book a Private Boat Charter. All travelers must clear customs at Simpsons Bay (approximately 15 - 45 minutes.)
The cost of the Sea Shuttle is $85 per person one-way, when booked through Cap Juluca. This fee includes Cap Juluca’s exclusive Arrival Greeter Service; this includes our friendly Greeters in the green blouses that will meet you as soon as you exit customs and enter the airport’s Arrival Hall. They’ll then escort you to a waiting car which will drive you directly to the dock where you will board the Sea Shuttle.
When leaving Cap Juluca and heading home, there is a $20 per person Government of Anguilla departure tax when traveling from Anguilla to St. Martin / St. Maarten.
The Shared Sea Shuttle boats are clean, comfortable, modern boats that can carry anywhere from 12 - 22 passengers, depending on which boat is used.
After clearing immigration and customs in Anguilla, guest(s) will be met by the hotel's representative and escorted to the next available taxi to Cap Juluca. The cost of the taxi is approximately $25 - $35, depending on number of passengers and baggage, from Blowing Point to Cap Juluca.
Note that the last Shared Sea Shuttle scheduled for departure from St. Maarten is 5:00pm. Guests anticipating clearing airport customs after 5:00pm have the option of booking a special after-hours Private Boat Charter, taking the Public Ferry from Marigot, St. Martin to Anguilla or a private air charter service. The last Public Ferry departs St. Martin at 7:00pm.
